A flashback (フラッシュバック, Furasshubakku) is a piece of memory from an altered timeline experienced by the users of a Hollow Pen. It occurs when a Hollow Pen is used to alter the course of time in the past. All flashbacks are experienced as soon as the one experiencing is in the altered timeline caused by the interference in the past.
